Job Description:
The FFSP program within the Leidos Civil group is seeking a Software Development Engineer who will be a member of a dynamic team working on the Federal Aviation Administration’s Future Flight Service Program (FFSP) technology. FFSP is a network of air traffic facilities that collect, process and deliver aeronautical and meteorological information to promote safe and expeditious flight throughout the continental United States (CONUS), Hawaii, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The position requires strong technical skills in order to participate in a multi-skilled, complex, technical team of individuals as a Scrum Team Member. Excellent communication, team participation and prioritization skills, as well as the ability to be flexible and responsive in a fast paced environment are needed. The candidate will be expected to work effectively with other Team Members, coordinating with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, Systems Engineers, and other agile feature development teams.
Primary Responsibilities
The position duties include:
Computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product.
Work with multiple feature development teams to meet both sprint and release commitments and milestones.
Contribute to the feature team's design, development, documentation and testing of enhancements to the system.
Participate fully in the Scrum team activities (Planning, Retrospective, & Review/Demo).
Resolve critical issues on the operational system when necessary.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Education or experience using the following technologies: Java, Atlassian tools
Should have Agile experience/knowledge of key agile techniques
Your GPA needs to be included on your application and resume.
US Citizenship Requirements
Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
Preferred Qualifications
Education or experience using the following technologies: Python, Angular
Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,300.00 - $82,000.00 - $110,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
