More About the Role:
Leidos is seeking a Lab Support Engineer to support related efforts for SMIT, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.  The successful candidate will support planning, designing, and maintaining service supported in the NEN lab facilities.

What You'll Get to Do:
The Lab Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the Navy Enterprise Network labs located in St. Louis and San Diego.

•Manage system endpoints using automated systems.
•Coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery.
•Maintain records of daily activities, problems and remedial actions taken, and/or installation activities. Ensure continuity for any outstanding issues.
•Perform patch management for system and security updates to all network related devices and server operating systems using MECM and remotely upgrades OS, Antivirus software’s and patches.  
•Responsible for managing Microsoft monthly security updates, 3rd party updates and software deployment using MECM.
•Provided support to MECM, Windows 10, Active Directory, WSUS, MDT platforms.
•Provide account management services to create, modify, and delete administrator and user accounts.
•Troubleshoot application errors, operating system(s), server hardware, network communications and storage allocation issues.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
-Requires B.S. Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to qualify for a Secret clearance to start the program.
•Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks.
•Ability to multi-task, self-assign work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
•Strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.
•Experience with Active Directory architecture and management. 
•Experience with creating and managing Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, MS Server Operating systems.
•Experience with Windows Certificates Services Management.
•Develops security standards and controls per DISA STIGS. 
•Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019 Administration.
•Experience with client virtualization technologies.
•PowerShell scripting and automation leveraging WMI.
•VBScript automation.
•Travel may be required.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience working on DoD programs, specifically Navy programs.
•Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
•Experience developing SE artifacts in multiple systems development paradigms and methodologies.
•Certifications:
    -CISSP, Sec+.
    -ITIL.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
