Leidos currently has an opening for a QA Test Engineer to support the Digital Innovation for GSA Infrastructure Technologies (DIGIT) program.

The QA Test Engineer will lead day-to-day technical release-test management activities including: coordinating platform upgrades/functional updates, analyzing log files, configuring file changes, updating installation and configuration documents, performing validation/testing, managing change control, and performing technical issue/problem resolution. This role will be responsible for test creation, automation, and execution in support of the development, maintenance, integration, enhancement, and support of the DIGIT QA Test Strategy and the ServiceNow platform following vendor best practices.

This position is 100% telework, but must be U.S. based. Per the contract, U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status is required.

This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:

  • Lead the QA Testing Strategy for multiple implementation frameworks
  • Serve as a key technical resource regarding the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation
  • Lead the implementation of ATF Test Suite
  • Design and develop complex test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services
  • Write complex test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluates the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications
  • Gather test data and evaluate the results of tests to determine if product designs and architecture meet customer specifications and performance expectations
  • Debug complex test hardware and software
  • Analyze test cases and scenarios and report results
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups to improve or upgrade product performance
  • Provide architectural and system/software engineering solutions to develop or integrate products and applications intended for use by the customer's system developers
  • Responsible for test creation, automation, and execution in support of the development, maintenance, integration, enhancement, and support of the ServiceNow platform following vendor best practices
  • Understand business user stories / requirements to provide the testing to cover defined acceptance criteria
  • Create and maintain manual test scripts for all ServiceNow platform functionality in QTest: mapping the tests to requirements, ensuring coverage meets or exceeds defined targets
  • Build and maintain automated tests for testing of platform functionality via ServiceNow ATF framework
  • Ensure all work adheres to the processes, policies, and best practices for development and the platform for Delta and ServiceNow ATF Test Suites and manual testing for: existing configuration and customization during 10 patches and 2 major upgrades, updates to Delta-specific configuration and customizations, and new plugins / new features for specific functionality
  • Report on test coverage and automation percentages, and progress towards defined targets to leadership on a weekly basis
  • Coordinate with Process Teams, SMEs, and End Users for User Acceptance and Integration testing
  • Identify and maintain the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation 
  • Support quality assurance process audits 
  • Construct complex builds (that include self-tests) 
  • Train personnel on the proper methodology to maintain a proactive test program 
  • Provide daily support and direction to staff, to change status requirements, deadlines, and problems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8-12 years of experience. Additional experience and/or relevant certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • ITIL v4 Foundations Certification or higher obtained within the first 60 days of the hire date
  • Have fluency in ServiceNow design and development principles to be able to work with external development partners and key stakeholders in developing enterprise business solutions for that leverage ITIL processes and best practices

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • ServiceNow Certified System Admin (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • Development/implementation/administrative experience including experience working with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, XML, SOAP, YAML)
  • Can identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligning with customer value streams
  • Excellent understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle, from smoke tests to integration to production deployment
  • Can produce levels of estimates and basic deployment plans for ServiceNow functionality
  • Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self-discipline with cultural change management and an Agile mindset.

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
