Job Description:

The position will support the Leidos National Airspace System (NAS) Implementation Support Contract (NISC IV), for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrative Operations and Executive Secretariat, Office of the Administrator, has an immediate need for a Program Analyst. This position directly supports managing, editing, and distributing executive correspondence, including congressional reports, inquiries, letters/memorandum, and other strategic communications.

Primary Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking, diplomatic, and tactful, working collaboratively with internal and external staff

  • Provide direct assistance to the FAA Administrative Operations and Executive Secretariat management team and office staff
  • Provide support by researching, proofreading, editing, creating, writing, processing, revising, formatting, providing quality checks, coordinating the composition of products for hardcopy and electronic publication, and disseminating on multiple platforms; products will be in various formats, styles, and configurations, including written and web-based products
  • Based on the medium, provide documentation and editing support, including checks for accuracy and consistency in arrangement, style, readability, and accessibility
  • Ensure documents meet editorial and government specifications and adhere to quality, graphics, coverage, format and style standards
  • Support standardization and adherence to project documentation templates and support the continuous improvement of documentation development and review processes throughout project execution
  • Develop new methods for providing correspondence service in a complex organization within disparate segments that need complicated administrative controls and ensure tailored responses to inquiries from correspondents
  • Responsible for the release of a variety of complex correspondence and communications that affect the entire organization
  • Work independently on assignments related to program and process matters to achieve day-to-day objectives with a significant impact on operational results or project deliverables
  • Carefully records proceedings, action items, and decisions generating a polished record of the meeting for executive distribution
  • Complies and consolidates data from various sources into meaningful documents/reports that key decision-makers will utilize
  • Develop solutions to unclear problems and issues that require thorough analyses and understanding of domain knowledge

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Additional years of related work experience may be used to offset not having a degree at the hiring manager’s discretion
  • Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience writing and editing various types of communications, including web content, articles, communications plans, and marketing materials
  • Fluency with grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity of expression; experience reviewing technical and non-technical materials, editing, and proofreading
  • Significant experience, application, and knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required
  • Must be a US citizen with current security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance within the first year

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of FAA organization structure and codes; government correspondence and FAA Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
  • Experience in providing support services and in preparing/drafting correspondence responses
  • Experience interacting with senior-level government officials and stakeholders, coordinating with program managers, and interacting with the Executive Secretariat
  • Familiarity with the Government Printing Office (GPO) Style Manual

Pay Range:

Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
