Leidos is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst Intern in Reston, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Leidos Real Estate and Workplace Solutions team is looking for an entry level analyst to support the design, development, implementation, integration, and analysis corporate real estate data to aid in visualizing data, measuring performance, and assisting the company in making effective business decisions. Data collected and analyzed includes facility, finance, project management, health and safety, and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate should be creative and independent, capable of managing many tasks at the same time. The candidate needs to have excellent communications skills and be capable of imparting insights orally and through written analytic products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
•Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
•Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems
•Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
•Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
•Work with project managers, accounting department, security, facility managers, and real estate leadership to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies
•Prepare final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.
•Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with data owners to validate if necessary
•Use tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and PowerBI dashboards
•Identify data gaps and streamline business processes
•Additional responsibilities as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field. An Associate Degree or 3 Year of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
•Must have strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methodologies, data analysis techniques, and data warehousing.
•Must have experience working with Microsoft PowerBI.
•Expertise in research methodology, data analysis, database management, and outcomes studies.
•Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data.
•Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently (writing and verbal) to a wide range of audiences.
•Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
•Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
•Have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
•U.S. Citizenship is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Minimum GPA 3.0
•Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, and Python

Pay Range:

Pay Range $42,250.00 - $65,000.00 - $87,750.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
