The Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to provide logistics and administrative project management support to assist in operating and maintaining the SNS national stockpiled inventory. In this mission we assist in ensuring the SNS inventory is ready for deployment, providing the ability to respond 24 x 7 in an emergency. The successful candidate will provide project management support and facilitation support in managing different projects in order for the Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS) to maintain a high level of readiness.
Required to be on-call 24 hours/7 days a week. Must be able to respond to mission alerts within 15 minutes with a recall of 90 minutes to report to designated location. Must carry a cell phone at all times.
Lead and manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span multiple lines of business in several agencies
Manage all aspects of multiple related sub-projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project.
Delegate project tasks to team members that are best positioned to complete them.
Manage the day-to-day project activities and plan/chair the project management team meetings.
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, and plan/chair leadership briefs.
Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Excellent facilitation skills.
Excellent group management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Above average skills with project management software tools such as Microsoft Office or comparable, project management methodologies, and related technology.
Experience with managing Enterprise Resource Planning projects.
Experience in Logistics Systems and process.
Ability to demonstrate leadership, drive results, solve problems, manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines and possess interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
Experience with emergency response/operations.
Previous experience supporting a government agency.
Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $156,000.00 - $210,600.00
