The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Client Liaison Specialist to work onsite at Langley AFB, Hampton, VA. You will work with a team of high-level engineers blazing the path of the latest technological capabilities by engaging in the next phase of Air Force Intelligence programs.
As a Client Liaison Specialist you will work alongside our government partners and customers, translating their vision to achievable requirements to our software engineers and leadership team. In addition, you will coordinate efforts of multi-disciplinary teams supporting software release activities, including the approvals necessary from operations, management, and security personnel.
As part of a creative, forward-thinking team, you will contribute to shaping solutions that impact global intelligence platforms. You will work with subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered on our programs. In addition to developing solutions, you will help customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features and transformation SoftWare Factory strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems.
Primary Responsibilities
Consult with users, managers, and other stakeholders to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives (requirements). Create and/or assist users in preparing and submitting requirements/change requests.
Analyze feasibility of and develop requirements for new features and enhancements to current system.
Manage list of requirements, engage with Program Manager to validate and prioritize requirements, analyze needs, and break down requirements into smaller, more specific details; ensure the right need and the right solution are captured.
Assist in system architecting, trade-off analyses, development of detailed design artifacts, defining the project’s test and delivery strategy, and supporting the program managers.
Inform program leadership of status, roadblocks and challenges and identify corrective actions, and specific concerns/issues needing resolution.
Identify risks and mitigation activities.
Participate in Technical Exchange Meetings, to provide insight and influence and brief leadership of any outstanding issues or required actions.
Respond to user requests for technical support, troubleshoot/resolve user issues, problems/outages, etc.
Coordinate software release activities, to include approvals from operations, management, and security personnel; ensuring all administrative, technical, and security related actions are completed for each software deployment.
Gather/prepare/review/modify/submit all documentation required for software release, to include an SVDD (security release notes, test cases/reports, Fortify reports/analysis, database changes), XSD changes, XSAT results, and SIAs when necessary.
Creating/update/review documents to acquire/maintain Authority to Operate (ATO).
Create and maintain network architecture diagrams, dataflow diagrams, replication diagrams, Configuration Control Plans, etc. and ensure documents are released to appropriate governing entities.
Leads in user acceptance testing of each new software deployment at the customer site.
Prepare/submit/track problem reports for issues with existing hardware, software, user accounts, etc. at customer site, and analyze data to determine root cause or trends revealed in problem reports.
Complete CSRDs to request/acquire new software, hardware, etc. at customer site.
Collaborate with technicians to ensure all NIPR/SIPR/JWICS PCs have proper software loaded.
Attend/participate in regularly scheduled meetings to include daily standups, sprint previews, sprint plannings, sprint retrospectives, demos, scrum of scrums, customer teleconferences, technical exchange meetings, etc.
Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports to keep senior management aware of project status, timelines, key issues, etc. to include Monthly Status Reports, Program Management Reviews, and In-Process Reviews.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior experience or a Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Clearance: active SECRET with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
Expertise with Agile software management and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
Expertise with system requirements management, including requirements gathering and decomposition.
Comfortable briefing Engineering and Architectural concepts to non-technical leadership.
Expertise with high-level software system design and development of design artifacts.
Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, including the ability to logically create structure and order from unstructured inputs.
Self-starter that is able to work independently while possessing the communication skills to work collaboratively with software development teams and external customers.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Expert knowledge of the Air Force intelligence community to influence solution designs and processes.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
