Leidos Engineering LLC is a premier national engineering-based management consulting firm. We are seeking a motivated candidate to join our team in Peoria or St. Louis as an Energy Efficiency Engineering Intern for the upcoming summer session. The position is ideal for a person with interest in the energy efficiency and utilities fields, as this position will provide technical support in support of utility energy efficiency programs.
Duties may include calculating energy saving estimates, energy auditing, and communicating technical issues within the project team depending on skillset. The candidate may also assist with technical application reviews to gain exposure and understanding of the application approval process for one of the largest utilities in the State of Illinois. The candidate should have basic knowledge of the operation of one or more different types of energy using systems within the industrial and/or commercial markets (HVAC, lighting, energy management systems, etc.). In addition, this position may research technology changes to support improvements to the energy efficiency program and develop new energy saving methods for electric and gas customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience). Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
- Interest in gaining experience in energy efficiency or similar technologies.
- Must be a team player capable of multitasking and working several complex and diverse tasks.
- She/he/they/them must be well organized, reliable, conscientious, and be capable of managing resources and schedules to meet deadlines.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $37,050.00 - $57,000.00 - $76,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
