The Leidos Defense Group currently has a career opportunity for a VMware Systems Administrator to work at Joint Base Andrews.
Support all aspects of Air Force Nation Capital Region (AFNCR) enterprise operations, to include integration, assessment, and requirements analysis, as well as future capability needs (near and long-term) to drive the design and maintain an IT Enterprise.
Assist in leading the development and implementation of senior management and customer O&M and future need requirements into detailed technical solutions.
Perform DISA STIG process on Window/Linux servers.
Support all aspects of the current and planned developed solutions, capabilities, risk mitigation, analysis of alternatives, testing.
Assist in designing all new developments in VMWare to ESXi Host.
Coordinate with internal and external agencies to ensure interoperability.
Help mentor and review the work of junior team members.
Supports customer requirements in a 24/7/365 IT enterprise operations environment.
Trouble shoot Windows servers.
Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with less than 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of related experience, certifications and/or training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Understanding of information technology functions and services supporting the AFNCR and the missions of its respective agencies.
Experience deploying virtual machines in VMware.
Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
Experience collaborating with diverse AFNCR stakeholders to drive consensus and forward progress.
Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology desired.
Pay Range:Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00
