To our valued Leidos candidates:

Coronavirus is on everyone's mind with the effects being felt around the world. The markets are volatile, and we're all concerned for the health and safety of our families, friends, and colleagues. Please know that we're taking all necessary measures to safeguard our employees, customers and the communities in which we live, including following all recommended best practices around social distancing.

In the coming days and weeks, we will be hosting career events virtually, using our online chat tools so that we may continue our hiring practice safely and securely. You can find available virtual career events at https://career-events.leidos.com.

We are using telephone meetings and online chats via Brazen to conduct interviews and hiring discussions, and we are offering options for video interviews so that you can have a virtual face to face meeting with your potential new leader. We do not conduct interviews or extend offers via text or chat based social media, such as WhatsApp or MySpace.

Leidos will never ask you to provide payment-related information at any part of the employment application process, nor will Leidos ever advance money as part of the hiring process. And Leidos will communicate with you only through emails that are generated by Leidos.com automated system. We are confident that, guided by our values and the strength of our community as well as the commitment we have to the important work we do each day, we will find our way through this time together. We will do this with the care and concern for one another and the common good that defines. Please keep those impacted by the virus in your thoughts.

Description

Job Description:

Looking for an opportunity to make an impact?

At Leidos, we deliver innovative solutions through the efforts of our diverse and talented people who are dedicated to our customers’ success. We empower our teams, contribute to our communities, and operate sustainably. Everything we do is built on a commitment to do the right thing for our customers, our people, and our community. Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business.

Are you ready for your next challenge?

The QRC Airborne ISR Systems Division of the Airborne Solutions Group of Leidos currently has an opening for a Maintenance and Disposition Liaison Officer (LNO) supporting the PSS-T program. Leidos is the Product Support Management and Logistics Lead for an unmanned aerial intelligence platform located in various CONUS and OCONUS operational areas and depots. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Persistent Surveillance Systems – Tethered (PSS-T) program.

What’s in it for you?

The Maintenance and Disposition LNO for PSS-T Program is responsible for evaluating equipment in need of depot repair, verifying stock availability, urgency, and need for repair or disposition, sourcing a vendor, obtaining authorization, requesting funding, and coordinating with forward operators, depot support staff, and logistics staff to coordinate all transactions and shipments while reducing turn-around time. Maintenance and Disposition LNO is also responsible for ensuring work orders are completed accurately for turn-around-time, depot repair corrective action, and cost. Maintenance and Disposition LNO will identify assets beyond economic repair or excess in stock which should not be repaired and coordinate disposition authorizations and coordinate disposition activities.

If this sounds like the kind of environment where you can thrive, keep reading!

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Review maintenance reports daily to identify repairable parts removed from systems which require depot repair. Ensure action is taken to obtain authorization for repair or coordinate disposition instead of being put in storage in failed condition.

  • Review supply shortage lists and compare to database to identify repairable assets that are condition code F (unserviceable repairable) escalating urgency of the highest priority assets to repair.

  • Review database for repairable equipment listed as condition code F (unserviceable repairable) and evaluate stock levels to determine if equipment should be repaired or disposed of.

  • Coordinates with OEM and vendor depots to initiate depot repairs by obtaining quotes for repair, coordinating funding for repair with support from LNO and procurement, ensure prompt payment for repair, and shipment of broken part.

  • Track return of parts from repair depot so they are returned to stock promptly, obtain depot repair descriptions and cost for all depot repair actions, enter the repair details into Repairdata, and work with LNO’s to determine where repaired part should be shipped based on current supply levels.

  • Coordinate disposition of excess equipment in disrepair by liaising efforts between the site with broken supply, property team submitting for plant clearance authorization, and disposition facilities receiving excess property.

  • Support program disposition activities as required to identify excess or obsolete stock and coordinate disposition liaising efforts between sites, property team, and disposition facilities.

  • Ensure disposition documentation is added to the database in a manner that is useable for the property team to complete Government Furnished Property modifications.

  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum of two (2) years of logistics experience

  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills

  • Familiar with Army transportation and transfer documentation
