More About the Role:
The Defense Group of Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an IT Specialist to support efforts for the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract located in Rota, Spain.
NGEN-R SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy, by delivering the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net); inclusive of cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Respond to all escalated service requests and trouble tickets delivered through the Service Desk.
•Assist employees via remote access, phone, or in person. May also mentor or train other Computer Support Administrators.
•Maintain records of daily activities, problems and remedial actions taken, and/or installation activities.
•Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures through manual configuration, installation of patches, or the application of scripts to protect data, software, and hardware.
•Monitor and respond to hardware, software, and network problems, providing routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities.
•Review existing documentation for the server, services, data storage operations, and maintenance processes and procedures, and provide recommendations for improvements/changes.
•Assist network and systems security personnel in IA incident response, including close coordination with the Theater IAM for all IA related tasks.
•Maintain all servers and switches within the configuration baselines and all STIGs, and accurately configure and apply patches to all systems.
•Work in dynamic environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.
•Interface with both client managers and system users.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of prior relevant experience.
•Active DoD Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
•Have excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity.
•Experience with major Microsoft technologies including PC and server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange, Configuration Manager and File Shares.
•Must have DoD IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+).
•Must possess a Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), or equivalent Microsoft certification.
•Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create technical reports based on analytic findings.
•Must be TESA eligible.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Demonstrated experience and certifications in network administration (CCNA/CCNP).
•Experience with ONE-Net and/or Navy or DoD customers.
•Current Microsoft certification such as Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MDAA).
Pay Range:
Pay Range $37,050.00 - $57,000.00 - $76,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
