The Defense Group at Leidos is seeking a dynamic Deputy Program Manager for the NAVSEA Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS 5) program based out of Chesapeake, VA. This position is responsible for leading activities associated with executing the PEO IWS5 contract as directed by the Program Manager. The Deputy Program Manager (PM) oversees the global day-to-day execution of the inter-related integrated areas of support including logistics, installations, training, and life cycle sustainment.

Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Doing:
Provides oversight and communicates the Leidos personnel policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to the team.
Leads program execution under the direction of the Program Manager.
Responsible for quality, staffing, and schedule performance.
Responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of management plans, tasking and production, and meeting deliverables on the program.
Interfaces with customers, organizes and supports program status reviews, team meetings and various other business rhythms.
Supports the overall risk and opportunity management, including cost/financial management, quality assurance, risk & opportunities management, data management, document control, contract/ subcontracting management, training & qualification processes, manpower planning, and execution and control of program’s contractual, administrative, and financial requirements.
Manages a team consisting of experienced professionals and directs the tasking of a geographically dispersed team, who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Responsible for recruiting talent, promotions, performance management, and reward incentive decisions for direct reports.
Demonstrates Program Management experience in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects within the services area.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education – To Land This Gig You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management and 6+ years of experience. Related military experience may substitute education requirement.
Six (6) years of experience in a management position dealing with complex Navy systems with P&L of $20M, or greater, annually
Four (4) years of personnel management and administration, cost/financial management, manpower planning, and execution and control of program deliverables, administrative, or financial requirements
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:
Experience in providing risk assessments as it relates to execution
Experience with customers such as PEO IWS 5
Possesses a Master’s Degree in Management and/or PMP
Clearance Required:
Must be eligible for a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
