Location : This is a Hybrid Remote position, will work 2-3 days per week onsite
Job Description
In this role, will serve as our senior principal Combat and C4I System Engineering Manager (SEM) supporting our clients with the integration of the radar systems, combat management system, weapons integration, and command and control systems.
Essential responsibilities include:
Engineering Manager for the government client to support ship integration changes and review Shipbuilder and GFE supplier deliverables.
Coordinate between Warfare Systems Manager at NSWC Dahlgren, PMS 377 GFE Manager, and Gulf Coast CS Support Team to review or develop ship integration changes with the NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holders (TWH) in support of the Ship Design Manager Team.
Leverage experience with and knowledge of the SSDS Combat System and the various components and data distribution capabilities to make design decisions.
Reviewing C3 requirements for new and modernizing ship projects; identifying, researching, and selecting appropriate systems to meet C3 requirements
Providing input to Topside and General Arrangements drawings and Installation Control Documents (ICD)
Coordinate C4I and Navigation system integration with PEO C4I PMW 760 Ship Integration Office
Coordinating with C4I and Navigation vendors
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Participating in in-depth technical reviews and engineering meetings
Providing technical feedback and recommendations to clients
Interacting with client and their subcontractor in the assessment and review of deliverables, and integration with C4I systems, and platform design
Participating in engineering and system working groups and independently identifying and resolving system issues to ensure customer needs are met
Supporting a culture of collaboration, enthusiasm, and a proactive nature within the Project
Support and develop Surface Warfare operational analysis and engineering design
Assess and assist in developing Concept of employment, Concept of operation
Define or perform review of Interface Requirement Specifications (Weapons spec, Communications spec, Data Links, etc.)
Support Combat Systems critical task analysis for all watch positions
Topside antenna, weapon, camera, and lighting integration and arrangements
Training and training system design and development
Candidate Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret Security Clearance Are Required.
B.S./B.A. Degree (MS/MA desired)
Senior-Level Candidate: 12 (+) Years of progressive experience with US Navy operational and C4I systems; specifically, CONOPs, operations, and integration/maintenance
Prior experience as US Navy Engineering Duty Officer highly desired
Must possess a detailed understanding of US Navy system architecture and combat systems across logical, functional, hardware, software components.
An in-depth understanding of surface combatant weapons systems and threats across AAW, ASuW, ASW, and EW, e.g., MK 46, RAM, SLQ-32(V)6, NULKA, SM-2, SM-6, etc.
Must possess a detailed understanding of weapons systems engagement tactics and doctrine.
Operational knowledge of US Navy combatants, weapon systems and threat
Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
