Job Description:
Leidos is seeking talented New Product Introduction Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems.
Works with the business to bring new work into the organization. This includes study of the product, generating the quote, analyzing the fit for the business and having a formal review with the business before quote submission.
Once the work has been captured, work with the engineering teams to develop the process steps needed to execute on the orders. Track progress and costs to ensure that actuals align with estimates on the RFQ. Work with business when needed to onboard suppliers that may be new the business.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with internal resources to develop initial manufacturing process steps to develop the quote.
Assists with triage process to discuss with management to determine if RFQ is a good fit for the organization (does it fit the mission, strategy, capability…)
Communicate with customer engineers and other customer reps to develop a quote for goods and services requested by the customer.
Works with the business to understand how the execution matches the quote to the customer. Makes recommendations as needed to close any gaps.
Remain in contact with customer directly or through service reps to ensure they are informed of progress.
Works with supply chain, engineers other internal resources to help close any gaps to ensure we are performing to the contract.
Assist with breaking down work tasks to ensure that RFQs can be completed on time.
Assists with developing the work plan and scheduling the work ensuring sufficient lead time and capacity are available to complete the contract.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science
Must be able to interpret engineering prints, specifications, quality requirements, PO requirements.
Understands inspection methods, tolerances, GD&T.
Understanding of Project Management concepts
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
