Job Description:

The Leidos Intelligence Division is seeking a Senior Security Risk Analyst in Bluemont, VA to support our Homeland Security Services Division.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Security Operations support programs are responsible to monitor, detect, analyze, mitigate, and respond to cyber threats and adversarial activity on the FEMA Enterprise.  The FEMA risk management team has a critical need for a Vulnerability Assessment Team (VAT) Risk Analyst. This is a full time position based in Bluemont, VA.   

The FEMA VAT team is responsible for the Information Security Vulnerability Management Program and internal/external Vulnerability Assessment program. The VAT team completes vulnerability assessments, identifies opportunities for improvement, and communicates recommended solutions for addressing vulnerabilities.  The right candidate will have experience in the following:

Information Security Vulnerability Management (ISVM) Program

  • Respond to DHS/FEMA issued security related alerts, bulletins, and notifications to all DHS components based on identified software and hardware vulnerabilities and monitor for compliance.

  • Continuously research emerging threats to the environment in order to disseminate the information to all stakeholders, immediately assess the known environment for presence of the vulnerability, and work with the DHS Security Operations and enterprise networking teams to proactively block exploitation within the DHS environment.

  • Track and report on vulnerability mitigation.

Internal and External Vulnerability Assessment

  • Support FEMA Enterprise Network through conducting scheduled and ad-hoc vulnerability scanning.

  • Employ ad-hoc or emergency scanning to support targeted incident investigations, escalation and emergency response to security events in accordance with documented procedures.

  • Coordinate with component security staff to explain findings, provide recommendations on mitigations, and advocate for mitigation of vulnerabilities.

  • conducts, operate, and maintain assessments and the resulting Vulnerability Assessment (VA) data and reports.

  • Conduct Host-based and Network Vulnerability Assessments.

  • Conduct Database Vulnerability Assessments.

  • Conduct Web-based Vulnerability Assessments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must currently possess a Top Secret Clearance.  In addition to clearance requirement, all DHS personnel must have or obtain a Department of Homeland Security Entry on Duty (EOD).

Bachelor's Degree and 4-8 years of experience. Additional experience and certs may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Candidates shall have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in vulnerability analysis, risk management, incident detection and response, malware analysis, cyber threat intelligence, or cyber forensics.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must hold at least one of the following certifications:  GXPN, GWEB, OSCP, OSCE, OSWP, OSEE, CISSP, and/or CEH.

Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (e.g. Tenable Security Center, Tenable.io, DBProtect, WebInspect, Qualys, Nexpose, etc.)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
