Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to travel and provide technical support on M/OUSV ship at sea, work rotating shifts and work 40+ hours per week. This position will be primarily located in Ventura, CA. We are expecting award in Fall 2022.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding.
Performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.
Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability, and analysis for total systems, and preparation of all required reports.
Assist higher level personnel in compiling data for reports, procedures and manuals and ensure proper maintenance of records and logs.
Perform collateral duties in security, safety, and logistics areas.
You will participate in Leidos and Government safety programs.
This position will require close cooperation and working relationships with active-duty military and other Government personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years’ experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience. Four (4) additional years of relevant experience will be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
US citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Position requires the ability to perform in an arduous duty environment.
Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Previous electronics repair and maintenance experience.
Ability to lift 40lbs.
Individuals must possess the ability and demeanor to share common spaces over lengthy deployment periods and work closely with others in a small working area and in a shipboard environment.
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Prior US military service, preferably Navy and on a Surface Navy platform.
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
