Job Description:

The Leidos Defense Group is seeking an Acquisition Security Specialist to support the United States Space Command, Production Corps acquisition programs in executing their responsibility to identify and protect Critical Program Information with Acquisition Systems Program Security to include: Personnel Security, Industrial Security, Operations Security, Information Security, Sensitive Compartmented Information, Communications Security, and Physical Security.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Government with Acquisition Systems Program Security to include: Personnel Security, Industrial Security, Operations Security, Information Security, Sensitive Compartmented Information, Communications Security, and Physical Security

  • Review, update, and coordinate with stakeholders the Security Operating Instructions

  • Support annual Air Force-level Inspections of the Contractor’s area of responsibility

  • Administratively process personnel security clearance (secret and top secret) investigation packages and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access requests for Government and Contractor personnel

  • Conduct and document initial training for Government and support Contractors and annual refresher training to assigned personnel with security clearances

  • Assist with, control, and process, Automated Entry Control Cards (AECCs) and Restricted Area badge requests

  • Shall prepare, review, and maintain an accurate industrial security file for visitor groups, to include subcontractors

  • Review each DD-254 to confirm that Facility Security Clearance levels are appropriate for the level of information required to be handled and processed and that CAGE codes are correct

  • Monitor, review, and track, reporting requirements of security deficiencies/violations/compromises to verify prompt corrective actions are accomplished

  • Develop, gain Government approval, maintain, and monitor the execution of the OPSEC program to include providing inputs and recommendations, guidance, plans, and instructions

  • Plan, coordinate and assist with OPSEC assessments annually and report findings

  • Review, update, obtain government approval from appropriate Original Classification Authority (OCA), and distribute Security Classification/Declassification Guides

  • Identify, report, and track security infractions and incidents related to both Government and its contractors

  • Conduct Government security container inspections quarterly

  • Verify Information Systems removable devices are properly marked at the appropriate classification level and with the appropriate form

  • Review, update and distribute, the Emergency Action Plan (EAP), for the protection, removal, or destruction of classified material in case of fire, natural disaster, civil disturbance, terrorist activities, or any enemy action to minimize the risk of its compromise

  • Complete a Security Termination Statement, Air Force Form 2587, on Government personnel who terminate their employment, separate, retire, have their access suspended/terminated, or have their security clearance revoked/denied

  • Issue and control Courier Cards, DD Form 2501, and prepare courier authorization letters

  • Inventory, monthly, COMSEC equipment on the COMSEC accounts and COMSEC equipment to include Access Control Lists

  • Receive, record, maintain, distribute, and dispose of, COMSEC keying material

  • Process requests for Common Access Cards (CAC)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience. Additional years of related experience, training, and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.

  • Currently possess a DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI

  • Proficient in MS Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent written and oral English language communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MILCOMM PNT or Space Command acquisition programs

  • A broad background with significant experience in all areas of defense security, including: operations security, information security, information assurance, communications security, personnel security, physical security, classification management, and foreign disclosure.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
