Job Description:
Leidos is seeking an IT Network Operations (NetOps) Transport Lead to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, who will support network infrastructure Tier III, Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) and User Migration services, operations and digital modernization to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies at Fort Meade, MD.
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The DES program supports a highly demanding mission and requires support to provide expert technical and professional management support to DISA enterprise Information Technology (IT) services. You will be working in support of a large and complex IT consolidation, migration, and modernization effort towards a Single Service Provider model that provides sustainment, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense networks and services.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
•Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Oversee the management and supervision of a minimum of ~30 personnel.
•Interface between the customer and DISA leadership and provide input into the management activities.
•Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the organization, groups and personnel.
•Monitoring and supervising the activities involved with the daily support of services to all DES infrastructure assets and associated peripherals to include: Network Control Center, Problem Management, Switching, Routing, Perimeter devices (firewalls), Video and VoIP support, Physical Cabling (including Wireless), VIP support, and the Joint Operations Center.
•Maintain current knowledge of technical innovations in technology infrastructure, and work with the team to develop a plan to utilize these technologies as appropriate.
•Coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery.
•Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues.
•Oversee daily shift activities and document in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure continuity for any outstanding issues.
•Oversee the day-to-day operational infrastructure services provided in support of the Defense Enclave Services (DES) and its customers.
•Ensure that personnel receive adequate guidance and direction for performing their daily tasks and for developing/presenting briefings, preparing correspondence, and preparing project status reports.
•Work in a dynamic fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts.
•Interface with both internal and external executive leadership.
•Lead and work in a matrix organization and speak effectively with peers, subordinates and program leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience; additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
•8+ years’ experience in management of projects/tasks similar in scope and requirements to current program.
•Work with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and convey changes.
•Excellent briefing, writing, and communication skills.
•Demonstrated hands-on expertise networking technologies and data centers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•DoD IAT II, ITIL foundation, PMP certifications.
•Define program goals and roadmaps based on customer needs and strategic direction, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule by the relevant team members.
•Knowledge of DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework.
•Possess an in-depth knowledge of DoD Enterprise IT policies and procedures.
•Ability to manage globally distributed 24x7 operations to include short-notice travel in response to emerging operational issues.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.00 - $162,000.00 - $218,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
