Leidos has an opening on the ESA V program for a ScienceLogic Administrator. ESA V is an IT Services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice. The program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, Windows Server, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing, and all server and network infrastructure, among others.
The ScienceLogic Administrator will be a part of our Infrastructure Operations team responsible for providing infrastructure support across the DOJ environment. The primary responsibility of this position will be managing, operating, and maintaining our ScienceLogic instance which monitors and reports on our customer’s infrastructure.
Candidate selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customer’s information. Current clearance is not required, but selected individual cannot start the assignment until the required security clearance is granted by the customer. This process is currently taking 10+ weeks.

Day to day tasks include:
- Plan, design, develop, verify engineering enhancements and maintenance for customer’s ScienceLogic requests
- Deploy and administer data collectors within the environment
- Manage data discovery for managed devices and work with system owners on coordinating connections
- Create performance monitors across our infrastructure
- Setup and configure customized alerts
- Assist ScienceLogic users with tailoring and modifying reports and alerts
- Document all platform service processes and procedures and maintain the artifacts in a document repository
- Perform ScienceLogic system operation support including backend system administration
- General troubleshooting of complex engineering issues for ScienceLogic components, alongside team members in other functional areas.
- Software installation, automations, and migrations
- Supporting backup and recovery tasks
- Evaluating new hardware and software, with the goal of improving and increasingly efficient operations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 8+ years of related experience in system administration. High school diploma with additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 3+ years of experience with ScienceLogic
- Experience recommending thresholds and performance monitoring KPIs
- Familiarization with both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Support on a M-F business hours schedule in the US Eastern time zone
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
- DOJ or DOD Active Clearance
- Experience in data trend analysis
- Ability to apply user requirements to the analysis, planning, and design of technology systems.
- Ability to communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to the Government Lead.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency.
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
- Ability to interface with all customer levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with using ITSM for ticketing and change management (ServiceNow specifically)
Salary Range for this position: $100K to $110K
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
