Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Jr. Installation Technician to partner on a large enterprise IT contract. The Jr. Installation Technician will be responsible for providing installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware in a large network enterprise, multi-enclave environment. They will also be tasked with contributing to the completion of specific programs and projects. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met and ensure functionality of capabilities of customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform site surveys of computer networks and cable plant
Equipment Stagging (unboxing and discarding of boxes, equipment placement, installation and decommissioning of old equipment
Performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems
Conducting on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order
Isolating equipment start-up malfunctions and taking corrective action
Performing ad-hoc and predetermined work assignments with instructions
Following all established guidelines, procedures and policies
Working on assignments which are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
Preparing daily logs and reports on work performed
Managing resources, maintaining schedules, and coordinating all repair activities in priority sequence to ensure adherence to contractual service level agreements (SLAs)
Travel:
Up to 50% worldwide, majority in continental U.S.
Basic Qualifications:
Possess excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask several projects at once.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individual
Must be able to move/ manipulate equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs. with the assistance of carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks or other devices as defined in the manuals and Technical Advisory documentation.
Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.
Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE)
Education:
Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience
Education equivalency of Associate’s with 6 years of related experience or High School Diploma with 8 years of related experience can be used in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
TS/SCI with Poly is required for this position or TS/SCI and willingness to get a Poly.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
