Job Description:
Leidos, a FORTUNE® 500 science and technology leader, supports the supply chain actions for the Civil and Health Groups including customers such as the Department of Justice, NASA Federal Aviation Administration, and the Veterans Administration. The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the material transportation plans for programs supporting Defense, Intelligence, Civil and Health as well as Subsidiaries and special projects. The employee will be interfacing with Vendors, Logistics, Receiving, and broader Procurement & Enterprise Partnerships team to ensure program milestones are met and to provide reporting as required. Some travel may be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist all Leidos associates and with Parcel, LTL and FTL transportation requirements.
- Interface with carriers to resolve service, billing, and delivery issues.
- Transportation Account creation and deletion for programs and associates as required.
- Maintain productive relationships with FedEx, UPS, DHL, Banyan and SSUI contacts.
- Provide shipping tracking information for internal and external customers as required.
- Source dedicated carriers for high-value product.
- Possess basic understanding of DOT regulations
- Ability to complete Haz-Mat product transport training.
- Ability to assist Leidos’ personnel world-wide with International Shipments.
- Knowledge of major carrier’s (FedEx, UPS) transportation tracking systems.
- Comply with all Leidos facility Safety requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizen
- 2 years prior experience in a fast paced, multiple transportation discipline operation (Parcel, LTL, FTL)
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Experience dealing with multiple National Account representatives.
- Great organization and communication skills
- Intermediate Excel experience (Pivot Tables, Charts, v-Lookups, Bar Charts)
- Physically able to lift over 70lbs and work in a warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications
-Transportation services negotiation experience
- Security Clearance
- Proficient in Business Intelligence (BI) database/dashboard applications.
- Supply Chain Management experience
- MRP knowledge or experience
Pay Range:
Pay Range $39,650.00 - $61,000.00 - $82,350.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
