The Defense Group at Leidos currently has opening for a CAD Engineer to work in our Chesapeake, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the PEO IWS 5 program mission. In this mission, we provide support to the Navy’s AN/SQQ-89(V) program, to include the development of As-Built drawings and issuance of LARs against approved Ship Installation Drawing packages.

Responsibilities – Work you’ll do:
Assist in the Production of As-Built Drawing Packages for the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 system
Development of Ship Installation Drawing LAR Packages for Naval Maritime Systems; using ANSI, ASME (Y14.5M), and/or NAVSEA (TS9090), standards and drafting requirements, and conducting Shipboard Validations as necessary to facilitate compliance with Naval technical standards.
Assist Lead CAD Engineer with the implementation of Red Line changes on the customer database using AutoCAD and Adobe Pro.
Development of Drafting Standards and Practices, as well as Training Materials for the Drafting Department.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Proficient in AutoCAD – 2D
Experience in utilizing Adobe Acrobat Pro for conversion of drawing products and deliverables
Proficient with MS Office – Full Suite of Products
High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of prior relevant experience.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:
Proficiency Experience with some or all of the following:
Block Wiring Diagrams/ Design
Piping Diagrams/ Design
HVAC Diagrams/ Design
Navy drawings
Clearance Required:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $37,050.00 - $57,000.00 - $76,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
