Leidos has an opening for a highly qualified Cybersecurity Engineer for the Multi-Domain Operations Division in Omaha, Nebraska. This is an exciting opportunity to bring cyber security background to a new Department of Defense program. In this role you will work with multiple scrum teams to plan, implement, manage, and monitor security measures for the protection of the Department of Defense’s data, systems, and networks.

Duties Include:
Develop, build, maintain and test security systems and monitor their effectiveness.
Constantly strive to find vulnerabilities in the team’s developed software and applications.
Direct risk management frameworks for all relative systems to secure all-domain data while driving operational advantage.
Plan and develop security plans for the program.
Introduce upgrades and replacements as and when needed.
Report to stakeholders on potential threats, proposed improvements, and ongoing security issues.
Accountable for coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff.
Necessary Background, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and four or more years of background in a relevant field. Additional background may be considered in lieu of education.
Contribute to and develop cybersecurity strategies that are in line with best practices.
Background with Agile and DevSecOps concepts and best practices.
Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with all stakeholders in the development of complex Department of Defense (DoD) systems.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions.
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical background.
Ability to promote program execution in unclassified and classified environments.
Preferred Background, Skills, and Education:
Knowledge of Agile Development tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence.
Expertise with Java, Scala, Go, Python, C/C++, and object-oriented programming.
Background working with Air Force/Department of Defense customers.
Background working in a multi-level classification environment.
Clearance Needed
U.S. citizenship with a current DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
