Come put your Digital Engineering skills into action! The Leidos Defense Group has an opening for a talented Digital Engineer to work in our facility in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role you will work closely with the software development team and stakeholders to perform and manage the full spectrum of systems engineering tasks including needs exploration, system and interface design, system integration and testing.

Duties Include:
Accountable for managing and employing system engineering standard methods, models, artifacts, processes, and digital engineering tools to accomplish needs, scrutiny, problem diagnosis and solution design, integration and test preparation, risk assessment and mitigation planning.
Interface with government personnel to identify needs, activities, perform concerted planning, review deliverables, and resolve system engineering issues.
Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange of program objectives.
Document interfaces and standards.
Contribute to the risk management process.
Additional tasks as needed by the program.
Necessary Background, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, systems engineering, or related technical field with at least four years of background in systems engineering. Additional years of background may be considered in lieu of education.
Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to partner with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions.
Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical background.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).
Preferred Background, Skills, and Education:
International Council on Systems Engineering Certification.
Knowledge of Agile Development tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Background working with Air Force/Department of Defense (DoD) customers.
Background working in a multi-level classification environment.
Clearance Needed
U.S. citizenship with a current DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
