Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

The Role:
Leidos is seeking a Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer to provide mission critical system support to our customer. This role will work closely with stakeholders across the technical workstream and other technology stakeholders to maintain, develop and support our Customer’s command and control (C&C) system in an Agile SAFe environment. The Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer will work collaboratively with Customer C&C engineering to deploy and operate systems. Help automate and streamline operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating, and maintaining all components that comprise the Customer C&C environment
Developing and maintaining scripts to automate tool deployment to a Microsoft Azure cloud environment and other tasks
Scripting and maintaining all environments including development, test, pre-production, and production
Working with project teams to integrate their products into the Cloud
Defining enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices
Codifying software development best practices across the enterprise
Developing automated testing framework within Cloud processes.
Basic Qualifications:
Suite of DevOps services, primarily Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube, Terraform, Ansible, BitBucket and Sonatype Nexus
Setup and configure environments in the Cloud
Troubleshoot user issues within the Cloud, escalating when necessary
Manage project team configurations across all of the Cloud services
Document frequently asked questions and create/update knowledge base articles for developers regarding use of Cloud services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Understands configuration management tools such as Bitbucket and Nexus
Strong knowledge with Agile development methodologies and the Atlassian suite of tools
Strong knowledge of CI/CD integration using Jenkins and Bitbucket
Experience with Languages including Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell scripting
Experience with Eclipse or another IDE
