Job Description:
Leidos is seeking talented CMM Quality Inspector to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems.
In this position you will utilize your experience in mechanical inspection, operating and programming coordinate measurement machines (CMM), and your ability to do open setup measurement on machined parts made from a variety of metals.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform 1st piece, in-process and final inspection on machine shop production material for conformance to purchasing order requirements, engineering drawings, and specifications utilizing various mechanical inspection equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages, CMMs, Vision Systems, optical comparators, etc.
Perform receiving inspection for outside processing and incoming materials
Create quality control plans / SPC Run Charts
Prepare and maintain AS9102 reports, inspection records, quality documentation, and discrepancy reports
Operate and program CMMs using CMM Manager software to tight tolerances utilizing GD&T and embedded model dimensioning
Perform calibration as needed
Participate in corrective action process
Basic Qualifications
Must have High school Diploma or GED with 1-7 years applicable mechanical / manual inspection experience
Strong mathematical skills
1-year CMM operations experience
Experience with AS9100 QMS / Aerospace Machining
Proficiency in blueprint reading
Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications
CMM programming experience
AS9100 QMS Internal Audit training / experience
Knowledge of quality tools such as root cause analysis/corrective action, 5 Whys, cause, and effect
Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
