Duties Include:
Develop creative solutions for a wide variety of user experience tests including, but not limited to mobile and desktop web applications.
Design useful, usable, systems, products, and services. This includes working closely with software engineers to realize the design.
Participate in user research activities enabling the team to build a deep and rich comprehension of how our vendors and customers use our platform.
Use data, diagnostics, and business needs to assist product management in developing user stories and necessities.
Propose design direction and/or assist to define the visual language.
Develop and maintain User Interface specifications.
Present design work to the engineering team, product team, and executives for review and feedback.
Necessary Background, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor's degree in visual communication, design, user experience, human-computer interaction, or related field / certification; and two or more years of related professional work background. Additional years of background may be considered in lieu of education.
Strong Hyper Text Markup Language and Cascading Style Sheet skills.
Knowledge of accessibility, usability standards, and interaction design.
A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating illustrations, visual design, web design, or User Interface solutions for a variety of form factors (including mobile and desktop).
Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
Ability to work in a combined multi-disciplinary team and directly with developers for implementation of designs.
Desire to work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged.
Preferred Background, Skills, and Education:
Knowledge of various user research techniques (e.g., user journey mapping, user interviews, contextual inquiry, card sorting, usability testing, etc.).
Knowledge of content strategy, instructional design strategy, and information architecture.
Background with Agile software environment.
DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Clearance Needed:
U.S. citizenship with a current DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $63,050.00 - $97,000.00 - $130,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
