Provide leadership and direction to a team of cybersecurity administrators responsible for operating and maintaining ACAS, SCAP, and HBSS software and clients for organizations supported by ARCYBER. Activities that this position will oversee include deploying, configuring, monitoring, tuning, upgrading, and troubleshooting ACAS components spanning a large and complex environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of applications and system administrators responsible for the installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of Army Cyber Security services

  • Act as a technical expert in Windows and Linux services

  • Perform configuration and operation of the following: DISA Automated Security Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) - Tenable Security Center/Nessus, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, Endpoint Security Solutions/Host Based Security System (ESS/HBSS), ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) and McAfee Endpoint tools.

  • Provide training on commonly used cyber security tools

  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 application support to subordinate units of ARCYBER

  • Provide support for Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including Documentation, Vulnerability, Scanning, and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Perform software patch installation, other flaw remediation, antivirus updates, and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) activities.

  • Manage incident tickets and provide status updates on each ticket per SLA

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and minimum of 6+ years experience OR a Master's degree and at least 3 years of experience

  • Must hold current Security+ CE or other DoD 8570 IAT II approved certification

  • Familiarity with the configuration and operation of one of the following: DISA Automated Security Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) - Tenable Security Center/Nessus or Endpoint Security Solutions/Host Based Security System (ESS/HBSS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cybersecurity experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization.

  • Experience in executing tasks associated with working with small teams 3+ years of experience leading a team of system administrators or cybersecurity professionals

  • DoD 8570 IAT III and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications required prior to starting

  • DoD 8570 IAT III and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications required prior to starting

  • Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of cybersecurity threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).

  • Experience with malware analysis concepts and methods.

  • Demonstrated experience with multiple network security zones, subnetting, VRFs, and VLANs

  • Have a cybersecurity foundation with working knowledge of cyber technologies, Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

  • Familiarity with the configuration and operation of the following: DISA Automated Security Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) - Tenable Security Center/Nessus and Endpoint Security Solutions/Host Based Security System (ESS/HBSS)

  • Windows and/or Linux or vendor agnostic Operating System Certification (e.g. RHCSA, Linux+, Server+)

  • Proficient in Windows Server and Red Hat Linux operating systems

  • Windows Server 2012 or 2016 experience

  • Working experience with tuning and managing cyber security tools

  • Working knowledge of database and operating system security

  • Provide detection, identification, and reporting of possible cyber-attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and insider threat activities

  • Ability to get Operating Systems certification within 6 months

  • Ability to get ACAS and/or HBSS certificates within 1 month.

  • Experience using Microsoft Active Directory to manage group policy, computer and user objects

  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities

  • Seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met

  • Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity or experience in Intelligence Driven Defense, Cyber Kill Chain methodology, and/or MITRE ATT&CK framework

Clearance Required

  • TS/SCI  with the ability to obtain a CI Poly if hired.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00
