Leidos Corporate Group has an immediate opening for Senior Splunk Engineer to join our CIO Services team. In this role, you will provide overall engineering and design support for a very large distributed Splunk environment, spanning security, performance, and operational roles. You will support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, documentation, and implementation following defined best practices and operational workflows.
Additionally, you will work with other Engineering team members and will be required to interact with end users and senior management to gather requirements and perform troubleshooting. There will be times when you need to handle seldom, barely defined, and unusual job events.
This position can be supported from anywhere in the US but you should be willing to work East Coast hours.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years’ experience in the Information Technology arena or High School Diploma / GED with 12+ years of relevant IT experience
- 3+ years’ in a Splunk role
- 3+ years’ experience in Linux
- 3+ years' experience with Agile methodology
- 3+ years’ experience in SQL/ODBC interfaces
- 2+ years’ experience in app interface development, using REST API’s
- Must have experience in an object oriented programming language
- Experience in project management, ITIL Change & Configuration Management
- US Citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in other systems and network management products
- Current or former completed Splunk training
Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
