 Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer in Ann Arbor, Michigan!

We are leaders in the exploitation of airborne and satellite imagery for automated target detection and classification. We are looking for someone to join our technical team who can immediately start supporting our existing research programs. This is an opportunity to use your software expertise to conduct applied research, software development, and transition new and innovative solutions to address difficult surveillance problems in the defense and intelligence communities.

Primary Responsibilities

Working with teams on the research, design, and development of sensor exploitation systems including signal processing, sensor exploitation, automatic target recognition, and signature modeling.

Collaborating with our customers to address challenging mission requirements by researching and developing new capabilities as well as making improvements to existing systems.

Rapidly and iteratively implement new algorithms to address these challenges.

Provide technical leadership for tasks and programs    

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.

Strong programming ability in some subset of C/C++, Python, Java.

Knowledge of code configuration control

Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to coworkers, teammates, and customers.

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

US Citizenship Required    

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing computer vision applications

Experience with automatic target recognition technologies and concepts

Experience processing radar/SAR image data

Experience simulating radar signature data

Experience with machine learning techniques applied to sensor data exploitation

Experience with multi-sensor data fusion

Experience developing software in Linux environments

Experience with multi-threaded programming

Experience with real time software development

Experience with container (Docker, Singularity, etc) development
