Job Description:
The Intelligence Group at Leidos is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to support a brand-new program with a classified government customer. This opportunity provides the customer with full-service conference planning, facilitation, instruction, and training and multimedia development support. Products will span the full gamut of technical interactivity from hard copy job aids to full, digital, immersive environments.
The Marketing and Communications professional may be responsible for developing and coordinating marketing communications programs, creating promotional materials, control advertising and public relations projects, developing and delivering internal and external communications, advise on communications, manage content architecture of task order intranet, develop and maintain communication with external contacts, maintaining knowledge of industry trends, building relationships, collaborating across multiple functions, and supporting on-going task order communication needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop internal and external communications materials (e.g. memos, letters, emails, news articles, web posting, visual schematics of ideas, briefing content, Q&A)
Lead communication support such as: the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of products that may include strategy and planning documents, talking points, and speeches activities, digital products, blogs, articles, and formal leadership messages
Provide support by researching, proofreading, editing, creating, writing, processing, revising, formatting, providing quality checks, and coordinating the composition of products for hardcopy and electronic publication, as well as dissemination on multiple platforms. Products will be in a variety of formats, styles, and configurations, including written and web-based products
Ensure documentation and editing support includes checks for accuracy and consistency in organization, style, readability, and accessibility based on the medium
Draft, edit, and publish a variety of communication materials and products, including but not limited to talking points, speeches, quotes, remarks, leadership communications, marketing copy, newsletter content, website content, and other communications products
Serve as the primary author on fact sheets, pamphlets, website content, articles, email messaging, and other communications products, as needed
Apply a consistent sense of style, grammar, and flow to these written materials
Convey complex information in a clear and simple manner
Provide weekly status updates and reports
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
Must possess a current Top Secret Clearance; TS/SCI with polygraph preferred and eligibility to obtain is a must! This requires US Citizenship.
Bachelor’s Degree in communications or related field and at least 8 years of relevant experience
Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking communication skills
Experience with writing and content development for a variety of communications media, platforms, and publications
Experience with metrics development, tracking, visualization, and reporting
Experience with MS Office suite and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams and Sharepoint)
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
