Airborne Solutions at Leidos currently has an opportunity for an Airborne ISR Systems Integration Engineer to work at our Manassas Regional Airport, Manassas, VA office.
What’s in it for you?
As the Systems Integration Engineer, you will perform integration and maintenance of the Airborne ISR (AISR) system. As a part of a multi-company team, you will integrate Mission Equipment Payloads into aircraft, perform system checkout and support the Test & Evaluation team throughout the Contractor Testing and system fielding. The position is responsible for assisting leadership with the technical oversight, and day-to-day design, development, integration, and testing of a hardware and software system architecture to support the AISR system. The Systems Integration will integrate with deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas within airborne avionics and data links, manage integration processes, and have the ability to identify innovative solutions to extremely complex, multi-faceted technical problems.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
-Technical Integration of government furnished and contractor furnished primary mission equipment
-Testing equipment and creating/updating documentation associated with integration activities
- Responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff
- Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area
-Troubleshooting to isolate system faults and perform repairs
- Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution
WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)
A current DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; additional years of related work experience required in lieu of a degree.
Civilian and/or military experience with Airborne programs
Possess strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook).
25% travel may be required to support activities at each of the primary duty locations as well as CONUS test ranges.

Security Clearance Requirement
A current DoD Top Secret clearance is required to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep Knowledge of aircraft integration and operations
Experience with integrating networking hardware/software into Airborne Platforms
Electronic Troubleshooting
Part repair, wire repair/routing maintenance inspections
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
