Leidos is hiring a Software Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance to support the recently established National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio!

The developer will have experience developing python scripts related to organizing data and automating repetitive tasks. The developer will design, develop, test and document scripts. Update or replace older scripts.

The candidate will work both remote and on-site at the government facility independently and have effective writing and verbal communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with a dynamic team to develop, test, implement and support application systems. Participate in the definition of project tasks and perform scripting activities to automate tasks.

Additional functions include:

• Assist in the creation of comprehensive script test plans and create and execute scripts in line with customer needs.

• Design, code, test, implement and document solutions.

• Design, code, test, debug, document, maintain and modify computer scripts of moderate complexity, significance, and risk.

• Participate in investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures.

• Assist with post-implementation reviews. Assist in monitoring operating efficiency of automated tasks.

• Write documentation that describes scripted/automated procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

* Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

*BS in CS, CE, EE or related discipline and 4+ yrs of work experience OR MS in CS, CE, EE or related field and 2+ yrs of work experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

*2+ yrs Python experience

*2+ yrs Java, Perl and SQL programming and relational database skills for maintaining/developing web-based and other system applications

* Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to work individually and with teams

Preferred Qualifications

- Cloud and Linux experience

- Previous NASIC experience highly desired

Pay Range:
