Job Description:
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a continuing requirement for Secure Enterprise Network Systems, Services, & Support (SENS3) for the continued operations and maintenance and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN). The candidate will perform as an Integration Engineer for the Deployment team.
Primary Responsibilities
Supporting the SENS3 management team, the selected individual will be responsible for providing services for the design of new sites, IT renovations, cabling, server room space, desktop PC deployments, printers, faxes, phone(s); copiers; data storage, shared drives, and general-purpose applications on HSDN and C-LAN.
Travel to sites nationwide, installing and troubleshooting hardware/software (routers, switches, workstations, printers, UPS units and more).
Ability to install, terminate, test and troubleshoot copper cabling (CAT 5e and CAT 6) and troubleshoot fiber cabling.
Program and configure various devices such as; Cisco and Juniper routers & switches, Dell workstations (thick and thin client workstations), and other pieces of equipment to be deployed at sites.
Conduct site surveys, if necessary, and document them in each Site Deployment Package.
Draft clear and detailed documentation describing facility and network installation plan (including room diagrams, floor plans, physical security information, facility power information, network information and other site related data).
Execute the execution activities in Site Deployment Packages upon Government approval.
Ensure that work on all approved MAC and new site requests comply with the DHS network and enterprise architecture, DHS policy and guidance documents, and with all security requirements.
When appropriate, decommission system equipment for DHS sites that directly support the SENS3 program.
Provide Tier 3 customer support on deployed equipment.
Basic Qualifications
Requires a BS and 4 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience. Years of experience may be substituted in in lieu of a degree.
Knowledge in handling classified materials and information
Experience with desktop support, network support, network equipment, cabling and wiring.
Experience in network management and local area network design and implementation.
Knowledge in handling classified materials and information
Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
Ability to brief staff members to contribute solutions to decisions.
Work cooperatively as a team member and provide recommendations to DHS building effective customer relationships.
Ability to work independently with minimal or no oversight.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Strong customer relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Active DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance

Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
