The Mission Solutions Operation is seeking a Senior Program Manager (PM) for a mission IT program within its Mission Information Solutions & Technology Division. The PM will manage a multi-year, fast paced, highly dynamic IT development and O&M program for a special access customer with 90+ employees and subcontractors. The PM will interface with all levels of customer and Leidos management. The PM must provide the leadership and have the interpersonal communication skills necessary to inspire, lead, direct and manage a large IT program.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for:
Establishing customer intimacy to understand their missions and establish IT objectives that will achieve success for their missions
Serving as the technical and programmatic liaison to the customer to commit program resources to ensure effective execution
Constant evaluation and mitigation of the program risk portfolio across all areas of cost, scope, and schedule
Manage resource allocations and customer expectations at the program level in response to near-daily shifts in priority based on customer requirements and schedules
Presenting weekly and monthly program status to include financials, risk and mitigations, schedules and other ad hoc information requested by the customer
Coordinating the development and implementation of IT roadmaps, strategies and tactical activities with the Chief Engineer and customer
Driving process improvements and innovation
Creating and maintaining a professional, performance-oriented organization
Making complex/difficult financial, business, and personnel decisions with outcomes in best interest of the company, customer, and employees
Meeting all contractual obligations
Meeting financial AOP commitments in revenue and fee for the organization
Focusing on retention of personnel and staffing as well as the development of existing program team members in their career objectives
Creating a diverse and inclusive environment for Leidos and team personnel
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Must possess an active/in-scope TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered
Minimum 15+ years as Sr Program Manager in IT disciplines
PMP certification or equivalent
Experience leading large contractor teams, including subcontractors deploying IT solutions supporting complex intelligence platforms in an operational environment
Working knowledge of industry standard and best practices related to project and program management
Ability to lead and manage diverse workforce at multiple locations
Track record of practicing effective delegation techniques, including to a team of leaders in the Program Management Office (PMO)
Strong track record of organizational leadership and business management, including strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
Ability to establish an effective working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers and peers
Ability to motivate employees and ensure engagement
Ability to partner with infrastructure support personnel to include project control, finance, contracts, subcontracts, HR, recruiting, and business development personnel to effectively manage and grow the programs
Desired Qualifications:
Master of Science degree or equivalent professional experience
ITIL Certification
Experience with IT modernization/consolidation
Pay Range:
Pay Range $142,350.00 - $219,000.00 - $295,650.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
