Leidos is seeking a Sr. Windows Systems Administrator in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) located at Scott AFB, IL.
DISA acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD), and national security organizations. The candidate will perform duties as a People Manager and Team Lead for a complex cyber team performing System Administration, Networking, and Cyber Security responsibilities. Candidate must have at least an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly report to Program Manger on all technical and personnel concerns
- Fill in as Program Technical Lead as needed
- Supervise Leidos personnel and perform required supervisory actions as directed by Leidos policy
- Effectively lead Network Administrators and System Administrators from multiple small teams
- Provide input on budget and resource assets.
- Assisting in hiring processes for multiple labor categories as requested
- Develop technical teams as necessary
- Coordinate with PMO and all Tier levels while also maintaining the ability to use knowledge of VMware Horizon View, vSphere, VDI to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
- Be able to work in a rapid paced environment and must be able to work independently.
- Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and compute environments.
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.
- Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
- Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware
- Shell scripting (e.g. bash) and experience in other languages like Perl, Python, and Java.
- Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.
- 2-5 years of Network Administration experience
- Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (such as FireEye and McAfee sensors and sandboxes)
- Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) including Splunk
- Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II, e.g. Security+ce.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.
- Experience with support systems to include enclave Ethernet switches, storage area networks (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS).
- Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.
- Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
