Job Description:
Leidos is hiring a COMSEC Analyst to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. An active Top Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Most work (75%) is on-site.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensures Agency and individual compliance with DoD COMSEC policies and procedures.
Configures and installs crypto hardware; troubleshoots issues as they arise, providing quick resolution to minimize disruptions in service.
Sustains the health and wellness of crypto devices, diminishing downtime for operational maintenance.
Maintains and protects keying and other COMSEC materials.
Updates keying material within DoD/customer designated timeframes.
Documents and tracks all devices and materials across multiple accounts and systems.
Confirms accountability of all devices and materials during yearly audits.
Provides COMSEC Custodian training to teammates and stakeholders.
Coordinates with Agency, teammates, and users to maintain compliance with all security standards and maintain deployment schedules.
Collaborates, supports, and offers advice in technical matters related to the Agency’s mission.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
Knowledge of current crypto devices/methods as well as COMSEC principles and practices.
Ability to implement and maintain COMSEC processes and administrative documentation.
Knowledge and basic understanding of network transport devices attached to the encryption equipment (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
Knowledge and basic understanding of information security practices and devices.
Completion of NSA Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) training.
Strong collaboration and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
Self-starter with ability to work independently as well as in team environments.
Active, DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Must possess and maintain DoD 8570.01 IT Certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Security +, CISSP, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in network and network security design where under general direction.
Able to manage the design, installation, & support of LAN/WAN based networks and security components (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, & datacenter equipment) with general direction.
Ability to solve complex engineering problems and implement innovative ideas to solve challenges.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
