Leidos’ Dynetics Group is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems within our Leidos Innovations Center (LInC).
The systems engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, multiple subsystem vendors, and their Government counterparts to manage aerospace system trade studies, conduct requirements analysis, and drive system and interface design that is derived from customer needs for product development programs associated with the DoD, DARPA, NASA, and commercial applications. Other responsibilities will include: creating the system architecture in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) software tool, tracking and understanding system progress against defined metrics, and supporting risk management across the IPTs. The selected candidate will present the systems engineering artifacts developed to the customer in formal design reviews and will serve as a customer liaison in many of their programs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any ABET accredited engineering degree and 2+ years of experience
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
Academic or career experience performing system trade studies for aerospace systems
Candidate must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret level security clearance. Active clearance preferred.
Knowledge of deriving requirements for complex air vehicle aerodynamic, propulsion, electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems
Experience with Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, and/or other system modeling tools
Experience with system simulation including interpreting the results of stochastic models
Object Management Group (OMG) Certified System Modeler Professional (OCSMP) certification
INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
Detailed understanding of the top-down systems engineering process for architecture development and bottoms-up verification
Experience supporting DoD, NASA, or DARPA programs
Experience performing risk management, test planning, and/or proposal development
Pay Range:Pay Range $63,050.00 - $97,000.00 - $130,950.00
