Job Description:
Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting NASA on the Cybersecurity and Privacy Enterprise Support Services Contract (CyPrESS) at Kennedy Space Center. This position supports the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Team and will be working with team member supporting Splunk, Continuous Diagnostic Mitigation, and Enterprise Data Warehouse teams.
Position Summary
Working on the CyPrESS contract, you will work with Project Managers, IT Security Leads, Network Engineers, and Information Assurance Professionals to develop and implement cybersecurity standards and procedures. You’ll support analysis, design, and development of security features for key systems and support the integration and implementation of cybersecurity solutions for enterprise systems across NASA. You’ll implement security measures to resolve vulnerability’s, mitigated risks and recommend security changes to assets as needed. This position will require individuals who can occasionally support after hours work. Candidates can sit remote and be expected to travel to a NASA center, Kennedy Space Center, on occasion.
Primary Responsibilities
- RedHat Linux infrastructure administration and ansible automation.
- Patch infrastructure using Ansible Automation, address and fix issues and schedule reboots.
- Maintain Ansible Automation Platform configurations as code
- Work with servers hosting services that require troubleshooting in general, patch or vulnerability remediation and/or troubleshooting. Frequently perform testing of various Linux based deployable clients (BigFix, SEP, Nessus, SentinelOne) that often require troubleshooting and also customer catalog requests for specific BigFix deployment Fixes for Linux based hosts where a strong Linux skillset is needed.
- Atlassian application support to include Jira, Crowd, Confluence, Curcible/Fisheye, Bitbucket and SCM Manager as well as other unique plugins

- Additionally, frequently perform testing of various Linux based deployable clients (BigFix, SEP, Nessus, SentinelOne) that often require troubleshooting and also customer catalog requests for specific BigFix deployment Fixlets for Linux based hosts where a strong Linux skillset is needed
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering experience.
- Computer Science or Information Technology Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience deploying and maintaining Ansible Automation Platform
- Experience with Linux OS, specifically RedHat Linux
- Experience with Jira
- Linux based support across various flavors to include Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu specifically.
- Experience with RedHat platform, CentOS, and Ubuntu
- Experience working with POA&Ms
- Understanding of Computer Network Defense, Business Continuity, Encryption, Information Assurance, Infrastructure Design, Network Management, Operating Systems, System Administration, Systems Integration, Technology Awareness, Telecommunications, and web technology.
- OPM Tier 2 or higher LOC, must be a US citizen and be able to achieve a public trust
- Experience working in the NASA environment
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to work with upper management and interface with the customer
Preferred Qualifications
- Cybersecurity Certification including CISSP, GCIA, CEH, GCIH, GCFA, or CSIH
- Atlassian application support including Jira, Crowd, Confluence, Crucible/Fisheye, Bit Bucket and SCM-Manager

Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
