Job Description:
The Military & Veterans Health Operation of Leidos is currently looking for a Program Manager to support biomedical research and/or public health readiness at military units throughout the United States. Customer research scope or mission may include the following areas: combat casualty care, infectious disease detection and prevention, health surveillance, epidemiology, as well as psychological and physiological human performance.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide active oversight and management of 50-85 employees who may be geographically-dispersed at domestic military installations.
Responsible for profit and loss on contracts with annual revenues of $10-25M; directing a team of supervisors/leads to ensure the attainment of operational, financial and strategic business goals.
Responsible for meeting customer research objectives, plans and budgets.
Communicates and negotiates with leaders within and outside of the company.
Responsible for developing future leaders, including mentoring and coaching direct leadership.
Develop, maintain, and leverage customer and partner relationships.
Responsible for growing program revenue, inclusive of both new business and on-contract growth.
Develop and deliver on program business commitments (e.g. revenue, operating income, free cash flow, backlog, indirect rate performance, labor base, sales, budget oversight).
Actively engage other organizations within Leidos on collaboration efforts that raise the bar on our current contracts and enable growth in adjacent markets.
Oversee operational execution and financial aspects of contract deliverables, cost, and schedule to achieve all key customer performance indicators.
Lead staff to achieve a high degree of customer affinity with all programs and maintain Leidos positive brand recognition across all customers.
Develop employee base to achieve high degree of employee retention and performance.
Manage organizational compliance with Leidos policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications
The candidate will be required to acquire, at a minimum, a SECRET classification access level. Preference will be given to a candidate who already has this clearance level.
Due to Federal contract requirements, US citizenship is required.
Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a business or scientific field from an accredited US university, or international university of equivalent standard.
Candidates must have successfully demonstrated 8-10 years’ experience managing personnel, budget, schedule and contracts within a military or medical research environment.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required, either at time of hire or within the first 12 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or graduate coursework in business or scientific field is preferred.
Prior military experience in a research or readiness position is preferred.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
