Job Description:
Leidos' Counter WMD Weapons and Capabilities SE&I Team is hiring a Test Scientist and Remote Sensing SME with expertise applicable to the characterization of counter WMD and improvised threat related test events.
Responsibilities:
Leading developmental efforts, providing strategic level advice to senior government leadership, and working as a senior member of research and development teams.
Leverage Remote Sensing expertise to include change characterization techniques, such as coherent change detection and interferometry from electro-optical or synthetic aperture RADAR systems, to solve complex problems.
Develop solutions using knowledge of LIDAR, hyperspectral imaging, and other electro-optical characterization tools/techniques for evaluating dispersal and post-dispersal viability of chemical, biological, and radiological species. will also be critical to developing solutions.
Basic Qualifications
BS in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline and 12+ yrs of experience or MS in a related field with 10+ yrs of experience
Current TS/SCI clearance
10+ yrs Testing, Software Engineering or Systems Engineering experience
Familiarity with LIDAR, hyperspectral imaging, and other electro-optical characterization tools/techniques for evaluating dispersal and post-dispersal viability of chemical, biological, and radiological species.
Experience with R, SciPy, or other similarly capable statistical analysis software
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills; excellent written communication skills; and the desire to exceed expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DTRA’s counter WMD mission.
Publications in a peer reviewed scientific journal.
PMP certification.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.00 - $162,000.00 - $218,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
