Currently, we have an opportunity for Electric Distribution Design Engineering Manager for electric utility distribution design engineering in Houston, TX. Successful candidates must live in the greater Houston or Dallas area to provide local support to our utility client as required.

This role will require leading other distribution engineers, oversight and QA/QC of both simple and complex engineering projects, working directly with clients, and ensuring the Leidos reputation of high quality is maintained. Your team of engineering professionals is eagerly awaiting your expertise and guidance.
This position will lead other engineers in the development of construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards. Distribution systems may be in an OH, UG, or URD environment.

Basic Requirements for this position:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering an engineering discipline (preferably Electrical)
-A minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience either working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing distribution design engineering
-Ability to provide reliable transportation (Local customer/job related travel is anticipated and will be reimbursed at IRS approved rates)
Professional Engineer license is preferred, but not required
We prefer Candidates with the following previous experience:
-Supervisory/Leadership position(s)
-Execution of distribution projects from kickoff through design approved
-QA/QC
-Customer interaction & process documentation
-Experience with the NESC

Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
