Job Description:
We are in search of a Business Analyst Intern who has experience in business practices and processes to join our team based in supporting the contracts at the Social Security Administration.
Leidos is seeking a talented Business Analyst Intern, located in Baltimore, MD who is ready to apply knowledge of business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment. The intern will assist in writing reports, conducting research, analyzing data, budgeting, and forecasting, gathering requirements, and making recommendations to improve project cost effectiveness and efficiency. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in business administration or finance domain. The candidate will be collocated with the SSA government employees and subcontractors at a government facility in Baltimore, Maryland. The candidate must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze business goals, objectives, and needs
- Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Perform research and analysis in support of operations
- Assist in resolving business and financial issues using systems and data
- Estimate costs and benefits of multiple actions and/or solutions and provide recommendations
- Help launch new initiatives
- May perform additional projects upon request
Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in a related field from an accredited college/university
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Good analytical skills including data and financial analysis
- Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with software development life cycle
Pay Range:
Pay Range $36,400.00 - $56,000.00 - $75,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
