The Leidos Defense Group currently has a career opportunity for a Solutions Systems Engineer to work on the AFNCR contract
Primary Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of Air Force Nation Capital Region (AFNCR) enterprise operations, to include technical planning, design, development, integration, assessment, and requirements analysis, as well as future capability needs (near and long-term) to drive the design and maintain an IT Enterprise.
Analyzing, developing, integrating, and maintaining enterprise automation and operations based on community policies and guides.
Define Architecture for the AFNCR Enterprise Operation organizations.
Support all aspects of the current and planned developed solutions, capabilities, risk mitigation, analysis of alternatives, testing.
Design and impact all new developments in VMWare to ESXi Host.
Design and impact all new deployments in support of VMware Horizon in support of on-premis VDI.
Design and impact all new deployment in RHEL.
Coordinate with internal and external agencies to ensure interoperability.
Lead the development and implementation of senior management and customer O&M and future need requirements into detailed technical solutions.
Help mentor and review the work of junior team members.
Supports customer requirements in a 24/7/365 IT enterprise operations environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Masters Degree with 15+ years of prior relevant experience or a Doctorate with 13+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of related experience, certification and/or training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Must be self-driven and results driven.
Experience and knowledge of IT enterprise operations for large scale datacenter operations.
Experience working in large enterprise operations environments that include: the identification, development, analysis, scheduling and managing of enterprise IT activities, solutions/risk mitigations, artifacts and migrations.
Experience working with VSphere operation Environment.
Experience with RHEL servers.
Experience working with NIFI.
Experience in SW development.
Experience with Oracle and SQL databases.
Experience in creating system architecture and technology roadmaps.
Extensive Trouble shooting knowledge of complex systems.
Program Management of Organization management experience.
Experience applying systems engineering fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
Understanding of information technology functions and services supporting the AFNCR and the missions of its respective agencies.
Experience developing and leading enterprise automation and enterprise class commercial technology integrations.
Demonstrated experience in implementing enterprise automation and technologies systems engineering practices, especially in collaborative environments.
Experience in collaborating with other enterprise technologists both internal and external to resolve complex technical issues.
Experience in supporting and coordinating across senior-level organizations.
Experience mentoring junior team members.
Ability to communicate with senior management and customers.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP) with 30 days from hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience collaborating with diverse AFNCR stakeholders to drive consensus and forward progress.
Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology desired.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $142,350.00 - $219,000.00 - $295,650.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
