Leidos Intelligence Group is seeking a Technical/System Project Manager to manage aspects of IT projects within a large-scale enterprise-IT Operations and Maintenance program. As a senior level member of the management team, this position is ideal for someone with prior IT management experience who is interested in leading integrated IT efforts. This position will report to a client site in the Ft. Meade, MD general area.
Qualified candidates must possess a current and active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance to be considered for this position.
In this role the Project Manager will manage aspects of a diverse IT project or multiple projects, typically involving multiple disciplines in the IT function. This may include:
- Utilizing expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are achieved
- Using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
- Working independently, may lead functional teams or projects
- Utilizing conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas
- Acting as a resource for other team members; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements
- Solving complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions and exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Leads others to solve complex problems; uses analytical thinking, tools, and judgement to identify innovative solutions
- Analyze schedule results and provide to leaders and team members with suggestions as to how to meet schedule constraints.
- Help improve the schedule management process and develop automations and other innovations to increase the productivity of collection and reporting
- Building knowledge of the enterprise’s processes and customers
- Explaining information to others in straightforward situations
- While there are no supervisory responsibilities, the Technical/System Project Manager may provide guidance to associates
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Must be US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years' experience in similar role
- Ability to satisfy any additional government-required clearance processing or screening, as determined necessary by the government
- Experience managing or analyzing the critical path of a task network
- Experience working with MS Project as an IT Manager
Preferred Qualifications
- Requires excellent communication skills with all levels of management, customers, team members, and technical staff. Must be able to keep all stakeholders informed, prioritize tasks, and can collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Required to create/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to IT deployments and/or Tier 1-3 IT support
- Must have a calm and poised ability to resolve/troubleshoot incidents and problems
- Possess high level problem-solving skills and be able to complete tasks independently
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
