Leidos is seeking a Defense Group Subcontracts Intern in Reston, VA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Defense Group Supply Chain at Leidos is responsible for Subcontracts spend for all services under the Leidos Defense Group programs and coordinating with our Procurement & Enterprise Partnership job functions to ensure program success. We are looking for a highly motivated supply chain students to work as interns during the summer of 2023, where the interns will learn about Leidos’ subcontract and procurement operations. The interns will receive introductions throughout the Defense Procurement organization and be exposed to training and real-life examples of subcontract work at Leidos. Throughout the summer, the intern will have the opportunity to tackle a project that will pull together cross-functional data for the team as well as working contract closeout actions on some of our priority programs. Potential for telework.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Learn the basics of purchasing in a Federal Government approved Purchasing System.
-Attend meetings with stakeholders, to identify subcontract data sources for the project.
-Develop an implementation plan for the project for presentation to Sr. Management.
-Execute an implementation plan to extent feasible during summer timeline.
-Make follow-on recommendations for long term use and updates for the project.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Actively seeking college degree relating to supply chain, sourcing, or logistics (or a related field)
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
-Ability to work in a group environment
-Ability to work in a telecommuting capacity and experience working remotely.
-U.S. Citizenship is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-3.0 GPA.
-Data analysis or business analytics capabilities preferred.
-Experience or familiarity with PowerBi preferred.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
