Job Description:
Leidos Defense Group is looking for a Senior Cloud Administrator to work on the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Cyberspaces Operations Forces’ (COF) program located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The COF mission is to provide Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) Operations, defensive cyber operations-internal defensive measures, and overall cyberspace operations in support of USTRANSCOM network systems and missions.
You will work closely with different functional areas to include network, system administrators, and cloud service providers to implement, configure, and manage Windows / Linux devices, AWS cloud-based systems and associated applications in a hybrid environment. This includes installation, modification, monitoring, testing and servicing of both on-prem and cloud solutions as coordinated with service providers along with coordinating scheduled outages with service providers and customers.
Responsibilities Include:
Maintain the existing configuration and integrity of the Linux devices and AWS systems to follow applicable policies and instructions
Perform system monitoring and operating system evaluations
Request ASIs
Utilize the Government tool suites and capabilities to service network devices and cloud environment
Operate and maintain a service assurance capability for cybersecurity defense service tools
Ensure Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans are in place and executable
Conduct annual inventory of devices and provide report to Government
Provide design recommendations to the Government related to change requests for Linux and AWS environments
Modify infrastructure at the direction of the Government
Perform analysis on user and infrastructure related issues associated with cybersecurity defense infrastructure tools and provide recommendations to the Government
Provide compliance data or feedback as needed to Government in response to orders and directives
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree with 6-8 years of prior relevant experience, a Masters with 4 years, OR 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree
Experience in Cloud Technologies, primarily AWS and automation techniques
Experience with the Linux operating system
Understanding of aspects of architect and design enterprise cloud solutions and AWS
Experience with AWS Console, CLI, and manage services
DoD 8570 Compliant certifications to include IAT-II at start, and willing to earn CSSP-A and CSSP-IS. 6-month waiver to be granted in lieu of current CSSP certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with any of the following tools: Tanium and Crowdstrike
Clearance Required:
Requires an active Secret security clearance
