Job Description:
Leidos Maritime System Solutions (MSS) is seeking to hire a System Administrator, specializing in IT system administration (client/server, MS Windows & Linux), to join our project team supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will join a growing, fast-paced research, development, testing and evaluation team responsible for the manufacture and testing of various electro-mechanical devices used for both subsea and surface applications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of workstation, server and network systems, including associated hardware.
- Responsible for updating to new systems, as well as support on current systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space, and implementing critical system patches.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in Windows and Linux system administration
- Ability to develop technical solutions and standard procedures for day-to-day administration of the networked system
- Develop and support processes for end-item/asset tracking within the network
Configuration Control:
- Knowledge of software release management
- Authorize the release of software changes and processes, and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups
- Track all problems and changes in work products and report changes and current network configuration
- Prepare, maintain and inventory hardware, software and associated technical drawings for assigned projects
- Facilitate Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board meetings
Reporting/Meetings
- Provide monthly configuration and document metric reporting for management review
- Facilitate Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board meetings
- Record and maintain assessment and audit findings, minutes, and action items
- Perform Configuration Status Accounting
- Maintain status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configurations of products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle
Basic Qualifications
- Requires BS in EE and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or MS in EE or cmpe or related degree with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Active TS/SCI
- Computer Network Administration
- Hardware/Software Maintenance

Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
