Job Description:
Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Security Operations Center (SOC) is a US Government program responsible to prevent, identify, contain and eradicate cyber threats to CBP networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services to CBP information systems including local area networks/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), commercial Internet connection, public facing websites, wireless, mobile/cellular, cloud, security devices, servers and workstations. The CBP SOC is responsible for the overall security of CBP Enterprise-wide information systems, and collects, investigates, and reports any suspected and confirmed security violations.
Primary Responsibilities:
The SharePoint Administrator will operate on the Security Modernization Team managing and creating SharePoint sites and servers operating in a 24x7 multi-enterprise networks environment.
•Manage CSD SharePoint sites and servers operating in a 24x7 multi-enterprise networks environment
•Contribute toward the SharePoint maintenance, technical support and policies enforcement
•Assist maintaining sites/subsites, libraries, lists, site collections, or backend designs
•Knowledge in using Microsoft DNS and Active Directory daily to manage policies & user objects
•Help manage and revise sites layouts and customize SharePoint sites for team and leadership purposes
•Create and maintain SharePoint Workflows in SharePoint Designer
•Manage, open, and remediate tickets (incident, problem, change, service requests, etc.) in accordance with CBP policies
•Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application, software, web, database, or network issues
•Plan, research, patch/upgrade SharePoint application components in conjunction with Windows Server OS on a monthly basis to ensure security integrity and compliance
•Maintain, update, develop and sustain technical documents, analyses, and reports
•Provide technical support in all customer interaction situations, including receipt of specifications, design, test, and response to service requests
•Support root cause analysis, vendor assistance and implement solutions to problems
•Configure SharePoint services and settings and document those configurations, along with architecture. Manage disk space usage, file size limits, and site quotas and create / manage content databases.
•Manages SharePoint branding/content and provides guidance and input for content management policy, along with limited content management.
•Document administration, maintenance, structure, and user permissions for SharePoint.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8 years of professional experience; OR 6 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree OR 12 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
•2+ years of Windows based experience and preferably experience interacting with 3rd party web applications especially web-client based server systems
•Ability or skills with ASP.Net, JavaScript, Visual Studio, XML, C#
•Strong verbal and written communications skills
•Must have an active Secret Clearance or able to obtain Interim Clearance
Basic Qualifications:
Clearance: All CBP SOC employees are required to successfully complete a CBP Background Investigation to support this program
Preferred Qualifications:
•ITILv3 or ITILv4 certification a plus
•Experience in the following areas: Java, Eclipse, Tomcat or WildFly, JVM, Apache CXF, Apache Axis, ORM framework, JDBC, SQL, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML 5, Spring Batch, Log4J, JUnit, Jmockit Subversion, SonarQube and Maven.
•Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert; Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
•Prior CBP Experience
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
