Leidos’ Digital Modernization Accelerator has an immediate opening for a 5G Cybersecurity Sr. Solution Architect.
Position Summary:
This position requires a technical leader who is ready to roll up their sleeves to develop novel cybersecurity confidence enhancing solutions that enable enterprise adoption of 5G networks and multi-access edge computing (MEC) applications. The Cybersecurity SA is expected create deployable solutions for demos, new captures, and adoptable for new contract growth by using Leidos’ partner products as well as developing new Leidos capabilities. Since this role initially is focused on user plane solutions, the Sr. SA will require expertise in 5G networks, mobile device link encryption, & zero trust solutions.
Being part of the Leidos’ Digital Modernization Accelerator will enable the Sr. Solution Architect to have a broad view of Leidos’ 5G potential use cases and the nuances of security each customer requires. Our Health division is investigating using 5G to enable improved health care by providing local and remote application access of health records for mobile medical units. Our Defense division is looking to provide novel forward deployed solutions for multidomain operations. Our Civil division, which supports ports and board solutions, would like to have improved campus wide smart facility solutions to solve multiple customer needs. Key to all these solutions is providing an end-to-end access method that solves the many cybersecurity challenges in Commercial and Private 5G as well as WIFI, Satellite, tactical radio.
The main focus within 5G for this role is developing solutions that enable application data to securely traverse multiple networks, engage localized edge computing, and securely access enterprise cloud elements. Cybersecurity is key in the model with consideration the requires a zero trust framework, application protections, and multiple data link encryption solutions. This has wide applicability to defense, commercial, and health use cases.
Primary Responsibilities:
•The selected candidate will focus on 5G technology, applications, and network advancement supporting Leidos customers in all of our business units.
•Develop 5G Cybersecure solutions for at scale application deployment and access on Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) and within Cloud infrastructure.
•Apply tools such as ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) for multi-point link encryption solutions.
•Ensure Defense related solutions support FedRamp, IL-5, and IL-6 including Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC).
•Conduct hands on development via deploying solutions, software development as required, and testing
•Facilitate internal Leidos teams’ development as required.
•Engage with new and existing technology partners for formulation of 5G solutions.
•Partner with the business development and capture teams in supporting the shaping and development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, and industry relationships via responses to RFPs, new business reviews, white papers, customer shaping calls, and Leidos’ corporate Win Plan process for larger franchise opportunities and to understand and participate in the development of new business strategy assessing current and future skills and technology needs.
Basic Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or other STEM disciplines with 15+ years of experience related to IT and/or systems engineering. Additional years experience and Bachelor's degree may be used in lieu of Master's degree.
•Expert level understanding of mobile device based (Android, IOS, and IoT) applications architecture, development, security, and implementation.
•Hands on Experience with 5G networks including 5G NR devices, Unified End Point Management (UEM), Radio Access Network (RAN), and core, network security, mobile edge computing, mobile operator offerings, and private networks.
•Understanding of mobile enterprise use cases, deployment, and implementation on 4G/5G networks
•Cyber solution development and testing
•Knowledge of ZT based Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions
•Understanding of modern network infrastructure capabilities (i.e., Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN), Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP), Software-Defined Networks (SDN), etc.)
•Experience with the National Security Agency’s CSfC requirements, solutions, and ATO process.
•Strong technical breadth and depth in support of the government markets and in particular in government network design, implementation, operations, and modernization.
•Experience as a solution architect and/or technical volume lead on captures and proposals
•Ability to author, present, and articulate problem sets and associated solution elements in settings supporting customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives.
•Must be able to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or other STEM disciplines
•Extensive understanding of 5G networks and devices
•Extensive working knowledge of cyber solutions, testing, and evaluation
•AWS, Azure, Certifications and experience is desired
•Previous experience in developing solutions, setting and executing test plans, and creating resulting documentation.
•Mobile device apps development experience
•Active security clearance
•Network Certifications (CCIE a plus)
•Security Certifications (CISSP a plus)
•Experience having worked successful partnerships with suppliers on proposals.
•Has been the lead Solution Architect on a $500M proposal

Pay Range:
Pay Range $142,350.00 - $219,000.00 - $295,650.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
